Trauma & Nervous System Healing

For bodies that have lived in survival mode for too long

This work is for people whose nervous systems have been on guard for years. Maybe you are always bracing for the next thing to go wrong. Maybe you learned to stay calm on the outside while your body is buzzing, numb, or completely checked out. Maybe you have been the strong one for so long that you are not sure how to be anything else.

Trauma therapy with me is not about forcing you to retell every detail of what happened. We focus on how your body, brain, and relationships are carrying the impact now, and we help your system finally have options besides “push through” or “shut down.”

We move at the pace of your nervous system, not the pace of hustle culture. You get to show up exactly as you are, without needing a polished story or a perfect timeline.

Who this work is for

People who have lived in crisis mode for so long that being calm feels suspicious. People who had to grow up early, stay alert, or keep everyone else safe. People who appear “high functioning” but are exhausted on the inside.

This can include complex childhood trauma, medical trauma, chronic stress, burnout, relationship trauma, spiritual or religious wounding, racial trauma, and years of survival inside systems that were not built for you.

If your body has been on alert for as long as you can remember, and you are tired of either exploding or shutting down, this space is designed with you in mind.

What we work on together

We pay attention to how trauma shows up now: anxiety that will not turn off, anger that feels too big, shutdown and dissociation, people pleasing, perfectionism, or feeling like you are always “too much” and “not enough” at the same time.

Together we map your nervous system patterns, build safer ways to feel your feelings, and slowly introduce your body to the idea that rest, connection, and pleasure are allowed. We do not rush. We build capacity one step at a time.

This work is collaborative. I will bring clinical skills and cultural awareness. You bring your lived experience. We make sense of things together.

What sessions feel like

Sessions are steady, grounded, and real. We start with how you are actually arriving that day: how your body feels, how you have been sleeping, what keeps looping in your mind. You do not need to come in prepared or “on.”

Sometimes we focus on getting you through the next shift, court date, family event, or medical appointment. Other days we gently work with old memories, images, and body reactions that never really settled.

The goal is not to erase what happened. The goal is for your nervous system to no longer believe it is happening right now.

Tools we might use

We may use EMDR, Brainspotting, or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) when it fits your goals and pacing. These approaches help your brain and body process trauma in a deeper, more efficient way than talk therapy alone.

We also use nervous system education, parts work, and somatic grounding so you can understand why you react the way you do and have options in the moment instead of only reacting on autopilot.

You are always in charge of what we use, what we do not use, and how fast we move.

All sessions are held online through secure telehealth. You can join from home, work, or wherever your nervous system feels safest.

I currently see clients who live in Hawaii, Arizona, Washington, North Carolina, and South Carolina, in line with my clinical licenses.

If your body is tired of staying on high alert, we can start here

You do not have to keep white-knuckling your way through this. If any part of you feels seen reading this, that is enough to reach out. We can decide together if this kind of trauma work is the right fit.

I review every message myself and will let you know if I am a good fit or help you find next steps.
