Trauma & Nervous System Healing

For bodies that have lived in
survival mode for too long.

Moving from “surviving” to “living.”

You learned to stay calm on the outside while your body is buzzing on the inside.

This work is for people whose nervous systems have been on guard for years. Maybe you are always bracing for the next thing to go wrong. Maybe you have been the “strong one” for so long that you are not sure how to be anything else.

Trauma therapy here isn’t about forcing you to retell every painful detail. We focus on how your body is carrying the impact now. We help your system finally have options besides “push through” or “shut down.”

The Four Faces of Survival

The “High Functioning” Anxiety

You never stop moving. You over-plan, over-work, and over-prepare. If you stop, you are terrified that everything will fall apart. This is the Flight response.

The Inner Volcano

You feel a constant hum of irritation or rage. You snap at people you love. You feel like you have to fight to be heard or safe. This is the Fight response.

The Numbness

You feel checked out, foggy, or disconnected. You might lose hours scrolling on your phone or feel like you are watching your life from behind glass. This is the Freeze response.

The Chameleon

You are an expert at reading the room. You keep everyone else happy to ensure your own safety. You have no idea what you actually want or need. This is the Fawn response.

Why You Feel This Way

Nervous System Window of Tolerance Diagram

(We work to get you back into the “Window of Tolerance” where you feel safe and in control)

Your body isn’t broken. It is doing exactly what it was designed to do to survive a threat. The problem is that the threat is gone, but your body hasn’t realized it yet.

How We Heal

Bottom-Up Processing

We don’t just talk about the trauma. We use body-based tools (Somatic work) to release the physical tension. You can’t think your way out of a nervous system reaction.

Pacing is Everything

We move at the speed of safety. We never rip the band-aid off. We build your capacity to feel safe first, then we slowly process the hard stuff.

Reclaiming Your Life

The goal isn’t just “coping.” The goal is pleasure, rest, and connection. We want you to enjoy your life, not just survive it.

You don’t have to stay in survival mode.

Let’s teach your body that it is safe to rest.
